Welcome to the FORUM
The FORUM for Informed Christian Dialogue is a Fort Worth-based community dedicated to an informed and “objective” (as much as possible) approach to God, the Bible, and Faith. In a world where much of Christianity has become anti-intellectual, anti-science, naive to the point of gullible, nationalistic, tribal, and too often HATEFUL, the FORUM is a safe place for not only those with hard questions, but also both the deconstructing and deconverted who are still nevertheless interested in matters of God and faith, and especially Jesus’ teachings to love and help the needy, the outcast, the oppressed, and the poor, no matter what their race, religion or what they believe.
The FORUM is NOT a church. In fact, the FORUM is very much designed for those who, though still interested in God and faith, are, for many legitimate reasons, no longer interested in attending traditional church, especially those that cater to the naive, tribal, and/or even selfish among us while avoiding the challenging and most important topics of both culture and religious belief . Because of this, we require no adherence to a specific creed, and our members include not only Christians from different denominational backgrounds, but also other religious practitioners, as well as atheists and agnostics, who gather routinely to politely discuss issues related to Jesus, faith, culture, and community, and all of whom hope to turn the religious tide in our current, misinformed, Christian nationalist culture, and show the real teachings of Christ to the world.
Naturally, we have our work cut out for us. But you can join us! Big movements start with small steps!
See the About Us page for more detailed info, and make plans to join us at our next gathering!
